Many students now use smartphone dictionaries instead of paper ones. They can look up words quickly when they don’t understand something.

The benefit is that digital dictionaries are fast and easy to use. Some apps even give example sentences and pronunciation.

However, students may rely too much on them. They might stop trying to guess the meaning of words by themselves.

今、多くの学生が紙の辞書ではなく、スマホの辞書を使っている。わからない単語をすぐに調べられるからだ。

デジタル辞書は速くて使いやすいという利点がある。アプリによっては例文や発音まで教えてくれる。

しかし、生徒はデジタル辞書に頼りすぎるかもしれない。自分で単語の意味を推測しようとしなくなるかもしれない。

Many students use smartphone dictionaries because they are quick and simple. Some give extra help, like sentences. However,  students might depend on them too much and stop thinking for themselves.（30語）

多くの学生がスマホ辞書を使っている。手軽で簡単だからだ。文章など、特別な手助けをしてくれるものもある。しかし、生徒たちは辞書に頼りすぎて、自分で考えることをやめてしまうかもしれない。

Students often use smartphone dictionaries to find word meanings fast. They are helpful and easy. However, some students may stop guessing word meanings by thinking on their own.（28語）

単語の意味を早く調べるために、スマホの辞書をよく使う。便利で簡単だである。しかし自分で考えて単語の意味を推測することをやめてしまう生徒もいる。
